I had a neighbor when we lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho who had
4 sons. She felt that it was very important for her sons to have excellent manners. She
insisted that they know how to use the extra cutlery that is found at the place setting in
a nice restaurant and this is how she did it.
On each holiday throughout the year, like Valentines, St. Patrick's day etc., she
set a beautiful formal table and the boys had to dress up to attend her nice dinner.
When those boys attended proms, and other special events, they felt confident about
themselves.
