Tradition builds a closeness in a family
that cannot be achieved in any other way. Repeating something daily,
weekly, monthly or yearly creates a sacred expectation and fills our
hearts with sweet and comforting anticipation. Traditions have bound
families together for eons and cultures have survived major catastrophe
because of the mortar of tradition. They don’t have to be elaborate or
grandiose, they just need to be nurturing.
