Christmas Pillowcases
This year I am making Christmas Pillowcases
for gifts. This would be a great idea for Hanukkah as well. I bought $2 a
yard plaids from Wal-Mart, they are 100 % cotton and colorful, and made
each family member a pillowcase that can be used during the holidays. It
takes about a yard to make a pillowcase.
Cinnamon Ornament Clay
This clay makes the most wonderful smelling
ornaments, package decorations, and are a great gift.
- 1 ˝ cups ground cinnamon
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1/3 cup white school glue (Elmer’s
works well)
Mix ingredients. Remove from mixing bowl
and knead until you have a nice firm clay. Allow it to rest for 30
minutes. Dust work surface, rolling pin and hands with cinnamon. Roll clay
out till 1/8 inch thick. Use cutters to cut out desired shapes. Use a
straw to make a perfect hole for tying a ribbon through when dry. Turn
them occasionally to dry evenly and flat. Takes about 4 - 5 days.
