Caramel Apples PDF Print E-mail
Written by Carol Sevy and Jeanne Isom

I got this recipe from a lady at the Farmers Market. She was selling apples and caramel apples. I was so impressed with the caramel apple that I want back and asked if it was homemade caramel. She kindly gave me the recipe. Her name is Jeanne Isom. She also wrote a book called, "Little Green Apples"

2 cubes butter

1 cup Karo Syrup

2 1/2 cups Brown Sugar

stir sparingly, boil until 250 degrees or soft ball stage

take off heat and add 1 can sweetend condenced milk

Pour in buttered pan and cut into squares, dip apples in warm  caramel, pour over popcorn or dip pretsels in caramel.
