| Although this family is not a "large"
family, they sound like their hearts are large and they are teaching their children how to
love by having "Love@Home™"! Pearl Maluzynsky writes: I would like to nominate the HAUGEN FAMILY. Christine & Tom have
two wonderful children, Peter 13, and Anne Marie (15?). They have been
through some stressful times, for example Christine was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and
underwent a mastectomy. I'm sure this was devastating to them. But all we ever see is a
family full of LOVE, LAUGHTER and LIFE. They attend Church every Sunday as well as devote
alot of there time to the church. It's a wonder with them both working full-time, that
they still manage to make sure all there children's needs are met.
Christine & Tom have raised the two most wonderful & responsible
teenagers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. For example: Peter 13 offered to come
and help us pack our house,so long as his parents gave him permission. I was astounded,
his offer was genuine, unselfish and and came withought any expectation of money. That day
will leave a lasting impression in my heart. Tradition is also a very strong part of
their lives. Both children have excelled in Ukrainian dancing and in
singing. They have been through some auditions, and gotten the parts.
This family is RICH beyond belief, not with money though. With
Faith,Love,Hope and Laughter and Hearts of Gold.
I can't think of a better Family who is deserving of the "Spotlight
Family". Especially inlight of the Trench coat shootings in U.S and
Canada. Too many people tar teenagers with the same brush. The Haugen's renew a hope for a
brighter future for our children, the most precious natural resource we have in the world
today!
They don't leave there "LOVE@HOME" they take it with them where ever they go and
always have enough for everyone.
