Homemade With Love

Silly Putty

My sister submitted this recipe at my request.  She made each of the children a chunk of it for our family reunion and handed it out just as the children became restless, while we waited for a pageant we attended as a family to start.  The children settled down to squish and pat and so did I, after begging for a piece to play with, no one wanted to give theirs up.

Mix: 2 Table spoons of Elmer's glue
2 Table spoons of water
Coloring

Mix: Half cup water
1 Table spoons of Borax

Combine the two and then work the silly putty and rinse it under the faucet to get any borax powder out of it. For nice bright colors, I use about a teaspoon of acrylic paint to color it.
